The STSC6 examination will be released on November 30, 2016 (CST). The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) has completed beta testing for the new exam. All STSC Exam Authorizations purchased on or after November 30, 2016 (CST) will be for the STSC6.
"BCSP maintains our safety certifications by regularly studying, reviewing, and updating the examinations," says Susan Gould, CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, STSC, Examinations Director at BCSP. "Those who sit for beta examinations, volunteers on our job task analysis panels, and participants in our item writing workshops and passing score activities are absolutely invaluable to our maintaining quality safety certifications."
Information gathered during the beta test was used in the validation of the examination's items by a third-party psychometrician, ensuring the quality of the examination.
SH&E practitioners who aim to achieve the STSC have access to the new examination's blueprint and the Self-Assessment publication. The STSC6's blueprint and references can be found at www.bcsp.org/stsc.
