The recipients, Thomas Bresnahan, Bruce Brown, David Roskelley, Henry Smahlik, Dave Walline, Charles Soderquist, and Eric Bertolet will receive their awards June 6, 2012 during a luncheon at ASSE’s Safety 2012, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
After receiving numerous nominations of highly talented individuals making significant contributions to the profession, the BCSP Awards Committee announces the recipients of the first Annual Award of Excellence. Thomas Bresnahan, Bruce Brown, David Roskelley, Henry Smahlik, and David Walline will receive the CSP Award of Excellence. Charles Soderquist will receive the CHST Award of Excellence and Eric Bertolet will receive the OHST Award of Excellence. Each of the award recipients have significantly affected the safety, health, and environmental profession and continue their commitment through everyday life. We thank all who submitted nominations and encourage future submissions.
Don Eshelby, Ed.D, Public Director for the BCSP Board of Directors and Chair of the Marketing and Program Development Committee said, “I am so proud to be able to inform these individuals of their achievement. Those receiving the award will garner admiration from those in the profession.” Dr. Eshelby also noted, “There will be additional information on the BCSP website, bcsp.org, which will give brief bios of the individuals receiving the awards after June 11.”
